Week of Jan 23-27

Good morning!

Biology:  This week we are finishing up our chapter on Protists.  We are having a test on Friday 27th over Protists as well as cumulative over the information from the year.  The cumulative aspect is a review over the yearly material.  It is important that students continue to study and be exposed to previous lessons because the End of Course Assessment at end of year will cover all these topics.

ESP: We have a Rock Identification Test today.  Students have been studying different types of rocks by name and type.  They will have to identify these rocks today for a grade.  We are also starting a project over the Grand Canyon this week.  After watching a video over Rocks, including the Grand Canyon last week, they will be taking it to the next level.  Students will be researching the geology and history of the Grand Canyon and creating a brochure for visitors at the National Park in Arizona.  The project is worth 200 points and is due on Friday 27th at the end of the class period.  The students will be given 4 days in the Library and Computer lab to finalize research and create the brochure.

Busy, Busy, Busy Week!  Have a good one!
